The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons has released its fourth annual report on data from procedures reported in the AAOS Shoulder & Elbow Registry, according to a press release.
The report includes data from 25,192 shoulder and elbow procedures performed between 2015 and 2022, and includes findings on 23,680 patients, 424 surgeons and 82 facilities. Among 13,969 shoulder arthroplasty procedures included in the report, 17% were performed for rotator cuff tears.
