The American Spine Registry announced a formal collaboration with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association and its Blue Distinction Centers for Spine Surgery on an aggregated patient, site and surgeon data initiative.
According to a press release, the American Spine Registry (ASR), a partnership between the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, will offer outcome data from consenting patients to be used by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association’s (BCBSA) Blue Distinction Centers (BDC) for Spine Surgery. The release noted
