Emergency grants available for some kidney patients near New Mexico wildfires

The American Kidney Fund has activated its Disaster Relief Program to provide emergency grants of $250 for dialysis and post-transplant patients who live within 50 miles of an active wildfire in New Mexico.
“Our thoughts are with all those who have had to flee their homes due to the wildfires that continue to burn in New Mexico. We stand ready to assist people on dialysis and post-transplant patients with financial aid from the American Kidney Fund’s Disaster Relief Program,” LaVarne A. Burton, president and CEO of the AKF, said in the release.
