Vivalink announced the availability of the first multimodal wearable patch for remote BP monitoring for use in commercial research and development.
According to a company press release, the patch, which weighs 7.5 g and is the size of a small bandage, uses electrical signal-based technologies to capture ECG trace, heart rate, respiratory rate and systolic and diastolic BP on a single device.
The patch is designed for remote and ambulatory BP monitoring; is wireless network enabled; and continuously uploads data to clinical applications in the cloud, according to the release.
