Suntegrity Skincare has issued a voluntary recall of nine Impeccable Skin Sunscreen Foundation lots, according to a press release from the FDA.
One lot was found to have developed a microbiological mold count higher than the acceptable range after release, therefore the company has voluntarily recalled that lot, as well as eight additional lots out of “an abundance of caution.”
The mold found in the product, Aspergillus sydowii, can lead to allergic reactions or primary fungal skin infections if used on open wounds or sunburned skin.
