VIDEO: Femtosecond laser nomogram reliable for astigmatism treatment

NEW YORK — In this Healio Video Perspective from OSN New York, John A. Hovanesian, MD, FACS, discusses a study of a new nomogram for femtosecond laser arcuate keratotomy to reduce astigmatism in cataract surgery.
“What the study showed was that 86% of patients had a reduction in their magnitude of astigmatism, 90% were within a half diopter of the target of no astigmatism, and 76% were within a quarter diopter of the target of zero astigmatism after surgery,” Hovanesian said.
